I always judge an Indian restaurant by its chutney. If it's the same basic stuff you get from every Indian joint you know you're going to be up to your eyeballs in grease and oil. Not so with All About Indian Food! Their chutney tastes and looks fresh! The onion chutney is chunky! The coriander chutney has more body than most places. Then the food!! Their crab curry is fresh and flavorful! Their sauces are all distinct and complex. The Malai is delicious. The cauliflower app is amazing. The Korahi is peppery and rich. The name may be a little silly, but rest assured All About Indian Food is one of the best Indian food experiences you'll have in NYC!

*Seamless order* We splurged on All About Indian for our once-monthly lockdown date night delivery, and I am so glad we did! Notes: Each of our chicken dishes came with a side of plain basmati rice. The order as a whole came with several tiny containers of achar, tamarind, and mint chutney. If you want more (you will want more!), you can order a generously-portioned side of all three chutneys for $4.99. The achar is delicious, but it is of the sweeter and less sour/spicy variety. My chicken saag was one of the best I've ever had: a large portion of creamy, spicy spinach with chunks of tender chicken breast that just fell apart in my mouth. *I specified "spicy" in my order notes.* My gf loved her chicken tikka masala, which also came with white meat. We got three breads, two roti and one Peshwari naan filled with coconut and a golden dried fruit paste. As a huge roti fan, I thought the flavor was excellent, but the texture didn't hold up in transit and was a bit soft/rubbery. (Obviously, I know this has nothing to do with the restaurant, and I would never fault them.) If you need more proof of why you should absolutely support All About Indian, my gf came in as I was writing this review and whispered, "It's almost time to eat our leftovers!" with a huge grin on her face.

I'm hitting this place with the 5. I think they deserve it. I ordered myself a chicken vindaloo and naan bread for delivery last night, and even though the estimated delivery time was only 35 minutes from the time I placed my order, I honestly expected it to take more time than that. When my food arrived in 35 minutes, I was shocked. I popped open the lid, and the vindaloo looked on pointtttt. Tons of chicken, and a strong amount of heat. Which was amazing. I love me some heat, and they came through. The order came with rice, which was also cooked very well and wasn't dry at all. I haven't said this about many places, but I will definitely be ordering from here again. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I can only comment on take-out, but we were happy with our experience with All About Indian. Saag paneer and chicken tikka masala were spiced well and offered in generous portions. The chicken was relatively tender for white meat chunks. I felt the vegetarian samosa lacked flavor, so it was my least favorite but I enjoyed the plain naan more than I thought I would. Delivery was speedy and prices were average. I'd order again.

While attending my weekly study group I took to Yelp for inspiration on what to eat. I cam across All About Indian and immediately searched the menu for my very favorite thing to order: Samosa Chaat. After a recent unsavory experience with a popular Indian restaurant in my home area I was a bit apprehensive about ordering in. As is customary, my hunger surpassed my second-guessing. Here is the order I placed on 09/30/19: Daily Special: Chicken Tikka Masala. (Served with basmati rice and naan bread with rice pudding. Comes with choice of appetizers, side and drink.) *Chicken Tikka as appetizer Alt/Special Request: Samosa Chaat and Poori, additional Quoted Total: $33.76 Faster than expected I received a call from the driver telling me he had arrived. My friend went to get it as I typically can never find my shoes. I unpacked my food and dove immediately into the Samosa Chaat. All the worlds wrongs were correcting in the first bite! Firm potatoes, soft chickpeas, fresh sauces, and a very sizeable portion. I even shifted all my study items to sit on the floor so I could spread my food items out! Next I ate the Chicken Tikka. Just a few pieces in a thin aluminum dish. Cooked well and seasoned perfectly. Then the naan and poori. This was my first time ever having Poori and, due to my love of bread, (Paleo be damned), I was excited about it. The extra crispy of it all really put the meal over the top. "Poori is an unleavened deep-fried bread, originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is eaten for breakfast or as a snack or light meal. It is usually served with a savory curry or bhaji, as in Puri bhaji, but may also be eaten with sweet dishes." - Wikipedia. Admittedly I saved the Masala and rice for the next day (after consuming all that bread) but thoroughly enjoyed it the next day. With the rice totally folded in the sauce, I ate it in heaping spoonfuls and still couldnt finish it. I wholeheartedly intend to order again if I'm ever in the area again.
